My company is distinguished by our attention to detail, meeting client timelines and their budgets. We are service-oriented professionals who are passionate about creating an outstanding finished product. I’m sure you’ve heard about disappearing contractors or nothing happening for days in the middle of a project? As opposed to most construction companies, we only do one project at a time. That affords us the opportunity to completely focus on your project, and on smaller projects, it allows us to do all trades. That’s why our team started training on each trade nearly 20 years ago. Together, we have 80 years combined experience. Daily clean up and keeping our work areas safe are some of our highest priorities. We understand the delicate nature of working around someone’s home, and ensure minimal impact on neighbors. Integrity is the cornerstone of our business.

We are fully licensed and insured general contractors based in Alameda with offices in Berkeley and Sonoma, California. GGB provides all phases of home construction, specializing in additions, whole house remodels and other large projects. We also do residential remodels, including kitchen, bathroom and general remodels; renovations, soft story / foundation solutions, decks, fences, and other home upgrades, as well as providing stucco and plastering services.

We work with some of the best trades people in the Bay Area. Our team has expert knowledge of city planning and permit departments, including strong working relationships with inspectors in Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda, Marin, SF and Contra Costa County. We have excellent referrals for designers, engineers and architects. Project management and client rep services available. Goodale General Builders have helped clients finish projects where other contractors have fallen short. We have an outstanding record providing high levels of communication and quality assurance for every project.
We are pleased to announce that we are now partnering with Anibal Arevalo, the foreman and brother to Arevalo Plastering's co-founder Arnoldo Arevalo, who will be overseeing all of Goodale Builders stucco and plastering jobs. We have worked with Anibal for over 15 years, and our clients have always been happy with their great work. We welcome Anibal and the team from Arevalo Plastering to our crew!

Luis, GGB Foreman
Luis has been my foreman for the last 17 years and has an electrical degree from Gutatemala. He loves framing when he’s not giving a fuseball lesson.
Juan
9 years ago Juan joined when we needed a journeyman plumber to help us with a full house remodel which included 4 bathrooms. Since then his skills in other trades have grown and he’s finding himself enjoying electrical and finish carpentry as well.
Miguel
Miguel joined our team 11 years ago and qualifies as a journeyman tile setter. When we build decks Miguel is the first to get excited; but he's never as excited as when he's fathering his 2 young children.
Dobro and his crew are terrific. We were so fortunate to have Luis, Cesar and Miguel assigned to our projects. They are very skilled and worked tirelessly all day with only a short lunch break. They cleaned up the work areas every day before they left and were quiet and courteous. Dobro supervised and reviewed the work daily. All work was completed early and his prices are fair. Goodale General Builders are our "Go-To" partner from now on for home repair and projects.
